“Chabelo” passed away, leaving mourning throughout Mexico, after having been one of the most beloved characters on our television.
“The friend of all children” passed away due to health complications. At a press conference, his son Xavier López Miranda shared the details of the last moments of life of the emblematic Televisa host.
“This is a very sad morning, Xavier López Chabelo, father, brother and husband has suddenly left us,” Rodríguez’s relatives reported through their official networks. But what caused the death of the famous? We explain:
López Miranda pointed out that, after presenting breathing complications, “Chabelo” was transferred to the Los Ángeles del Pedregal hospital, where he died a few hours later. Later, he announced that his father’s death was the result of septic shock, which was aggravated by a picture of acute abdomen.
According to the Pan American Health Organization, “septic shock” or septicemia is a condition that occurs as a response of the body in the presence of a bacteremia or infection that causes the dysfunction or failure of the organism.
In septic shock, the body enters a state of low blood pressure that is life-threatening. As a result, internal organs such as the lungs, kidneys, heart, and brain receive very little blood, which puts life at risk.
What symptoms occur when there is septic shock?
Among the symptoms of the condition are high or very low temperature, chills, feeling of weakness, dizziness, absence of urinary output, low blood pressure, rapid heart rate, restlessness, agitation, lethargy, or confusion.
“The friend of all children” had been removed from the public eye for several years. However, he would occasionally offer reports on his state of health. As Xavier López Miranda explained, “Chabelo” “did not suffer” during the last minutes of his life, since he was accompanied by his relatives.
