Last spring Buell showed the public the SuperTouring 1190the one that aimed to become one of the most powerful touring bikes in the world. The bike is driven by the 72° V-twin cylinder derived from the 1125 Rotax, the same engine that powered the last Buells of the HD period. The numbers speak of 1,190 cc of engine capacity, 185 HP of power at over 10,000 rpm. and 138Nm at 8,000rpm. Considerable power and torque, but which have not yet taken into account the Euro 5 regulations. No technical information on the bike has yet been disseminated, but from the images, in addition to the “classic” tank-in-frame chassis and the perimeter brake discs, we see a motorcycle similar to the Harley-Davidson Pan America, but give more modern and sculpted lines. A motorcycle that reflects the lines shown in the first rendering released by the House in spring 2021 (see the photos in the gallery at the beginning).
Now let’s get back to the topic because the latest update of this model was shown on the occasion of Daytona Bike Week 2023, which includes a new front fairing that integrates the revised optical group, higher handlebars, new controls, different saddle and bags in color matched to the bike. But there is bad news for all enthusiasts: the commercial arrival of the new Buell SuperTouring 1190 was scheduled for 2023, but… now it will have to be postponed. The bike will not arrive “during 2023” as initially expected, not even in 2024, but… in 2025. It would seem that the cause of this delay can be attributed to delivery problems on the part of the suppliers involved.
