DUBAI – Navy English seized anti-tank missiles and fins for ballistic missile assembly during a raid on a small ship from Iran which is likely to lead to wealth . The confiscation was carried out in the Gulf of Oman, Thursday (2/3/2023).
As AP reports, the seizure by the British Royal Navy follows other seizures by French and US forces in the region, as Western powers increase their pressure on Iran, as it is now enriching uranium.

“On board the ship, British forces recovered a Russian 9M133 Kornet anti-tank guided missile, known in Iran as “Dehlavieh,” the US Navy’s Middle East-based 5th Fleet and Royal Royal Navy said.
The weapons were seen in another seizure that allegedly originated in Iran and headed for Yemen. There is also a small fin identified by the US Navy as a jet propeller for medium-range ballistic missiles.
The Iranian component has helped build a missile arsenal for Yemen’s Houthi rebels, who have controlled the country’s capital, Sanaa, since 2014.
UN resolution bans arms transfers to Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. Tehran has long denied arming the rebels, despite physical evidence, multiple seizures and experts tying the weapons back to Iran.

“The seizure by HMS Lancaster and the Royal Navy’s permanent presence in the Gulf area underpin our commitment to uphold international law and address activities that threaten peace and security around the world,” said British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.
Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of the U.S. 5th Fleet, said in a statement that this was “the seventh prohibited weapons or drug interdiction in the last three months and another example of Iran’s escalating dangerous maritime activity across the region.”
Meanwhile, Iranian state media did not immediately acknowledge the seizure and Iran’s mission to the United Nations did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
