The Inter midfielder came out of the match against England in pain and will leave Mancini’s group like the defender of Juventus
Roberto Mancini’s national team loses two pieces: one expected, one less. In fact, if it was already known that Leonardo Bonucci would not follow his teammates to Malta, Nicolò Barella will do the same. The Inter midfielder played against England making way for Bryan Cristante in the 62nd minute, but suffered a few too many blows on the pitch at Diego Armando Maradona in Naples and the blue staff assessed that the player is not in condition to face the second commitment of this break, the trip to the Mediterranean island scheduled for Sunday evening.
No alarm

Obviously, Barella’s state of health will be evaluated by the Inter doctors once he returns to Appiano Gentile, but there is no great concern for what appear to be only the beatings remedied in the remake of the Euro 2020 final. Bonucci’s situation is different, who in fact was called up even though he was injured and worked out in the gym: with the Juventus staff he will resume his recovery program as planned.
