Cyanide Studio and NACON today shared information about new updates and changes to Blood Bowl 3 via a major patch, now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Since last month’s launch, the studio and publisher have been inundated with community feedback, including some technical issues and the monetization system. Based on these feedbacks, they have already been announced and are being implemented numerous changes to improve the game experience and solve these problems.
Blood Bowl 3 was designed to offer an extended experience, adding new content, features and competitive events. The developers are well aware that the foundation of the game and the quality of the gameplay are essential. The new patch released today addresses one of the most important feedback regarding the game’s monetization system: from now on, all Common, Rare and Epic gear unlocked through an in-game purchase or reward can be used unlimitedly between teams on other characters in the same position. It will no longer be necessary to purchase multiple copies of the same helmet or shoulder pad to equip players of the same position. Players who have purchased multiple pieces of equipment (now with unlimited use) will be refunded the amount of Warpstone, the in-game currency of Blood Bowl 3.
Naturally, throughout the preseason period, which will last until the launch of Season 1 in May, the teams will continue to improve the game experience based on the expectations and feedback from the community. Particular attention will be paid to the preparation of the competitive season (rankings, matchmaking system, admin tools…), and this pre-season period will be punctuated by all the necessary corrective patches. Also, as compensation for the issues encountered at launch, the Season 1 Blood Pass, which will give access to a new faction, additional features and 50 reward tiers, will be unlocked for free for all players.
