At the end of Piacenza-Novara the Tunisian expert surrounded by home fans in the parking lot: a scuffle ensued, after the checks he was released
For once it is a player who hits a fan and not the other way around. It happened after Piacenza-Novara (1-1) in Group A of Serie C. At the end of the match, Novara defender Yohan Benalouane left the fence of the stadium, where the visiting team’s bus was parked, to go and retrieve some objects personal data from the car of comrade Galuppini. Along the way he was approached by a group of disappointed local fans, with whom an argument immediately arose. The player’s reaction was immediate: he punched one of the fans (a well-known ultra in the city) who ended up on the ground, only to then struggle to regain the parking space inside the stadium.

Immediately aided by the Red Cross, the fan was taken to the hospital, where he was treated with a dozen stitches on his right eyebrow arch. At the same time, the forces of order intervened and accompanied the player to the police headquarters for checks: he was only released in the late evening. In the meantime, other fans gathered at the stadium and blocked the Novara bus inside the stadium until 9 pm. Benalouane, 35, a Tunisian of French nationality, is the most experienced member of the Piedmontese team: taken to Serie A from Cesena in 2010, he also played for Parma, Atalanta, Leicester, Fiorentina, Nottingham Forest and Aris Thessaloniki.
