What happened to The Flash? The actor who gives life to Batman, Ben Affleck, reveals some details that fans will not like at all.
Ben Affleck has bad news about The Flash. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the DC Extended Universe Batman actor discussed how his superhero adventures became “repetitive and less interesting” for him before tackling his next role in the Andy Muschietti film.
To the disappointment of many, Ben Affleck pointed out that while he believes he rocked his role as Batman in Ezra Miller’s epic Scarlet Speedster, his role in The Flash only lasts a few minutes. This probably isn’t an exact indication of the actor’s screen time, but overall it points to a smaller role than we’d all imagined. It’s very bad news.
“The Justice League experience, the fact that those stories felt a bit repetitive and less interesting… Yeah, I finally figured out how to play Batman and nailed it on The Flash. For the five minutes I’m in there, he’s really great,” Ben Affleck said.

Ben Affleck added that a big part of figuring out how to play a character is just tone. After, shared his love for his time in the DC universe, specifically in his debut under the orders of director Zack Snyder. “A lot of it is just the tone,” the Flash actor said. “You have to find out, what is your version of the person? Who’s the guy that fits what you can do? I tried to fit into a Batman. And by the way I like a lot of the things we did, especially the first one.”
That Ben Affleck’s Batman only has a cameo in The Flash shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as the actor has reportedly wrapped up his involvement with the DC movie after just a week of filming in September 2021. However, this will be a disappointment to many, as the film will probably mark the last appearance of this Dark Knight after his cameo in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was apparently cut.
