NTB.Suara.com – What foreign tourists do in Bali. Most recently, a number of foreign tourists were caught using fake vehicle license plates.
Now, the case is being investigated by the Bali Police.
Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, said that his party was pursuing the perpetrators of using the fake vehicle plates.
He said there were those who used four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles. In fact, some use Russian plates.

This case came to the surface after his party received many reports from residents and officers in the field.
Whereas, many foreigners do not use official vehicle plates, but use modified plates.
“The mode of using vehicle number plates is not according to the rules,” said Satake Bayu quoted from Antara, Sunday (5/3/2023).
He said Russian citizens were the most frequently reported as using fake license plates.
“Until now, four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles using Russian license plates are still being pursued and we will make sure they will be made targets for operations,” said Satake Bayu.

He appealed to anyone using a fake license plate to immediately use the original license plate.
“For members of the public who know the whereabouts of the vehicle, please cooperate in reporting it to the nearest police and we will take action against the driver,” said Satake Bayu.
As previously reported, the Klungkung Police secured four two-wheeled vehicles using fake license plates in Nusa Lembongan.
The vehicle was driven by a number of foreigners and local people.
Apart from using fake number plates, they also do not use SNI helmets, do not have a driving license, do not have a personal identity (passport) and do not have documents proving vehicle ownership.
