Today I speak to those who are looking for a carbon sport-touring helmet and has a budget of 250 euros. Here you are Befast Eagle Carbon and Eagle Carbon RS, both produced by Belfast or a brand of motorcycle clothing, the now historic online sales site which however also has 24 stores in central and northern Italy.
The two products have the same construction and differ only in the type of lacing: double ring on the RS version and micrometric on the standard variant. The helmets are made with three different EPS inner shells and two outer shells.
Two air intakes: one on the chin and one on the top. The passage of air is good both on the chin guard and on the top of the shell, thanks in this case to a good internal channelling. An attention to detail also demonstrated by the use of anodized aluminum for the two closing rings. Present an internal sun visor and, inside the package, also a soft nose guard and a protection from the air for the chin.
Weight chapter: the use of carbon, despite the ECE2206 approvalallows you to stop the scale at about 1400 grams in size M.
Between pro: the fitting, the aerodynamic stability, the practicality of the visor lock, the design and the control of the visor.
Between against: a not too exhaustive instruction manual and the emergency release system that can be improved.
Il prezzo? Really amazing: Eagle Carbon is sold at 249 euros even if its list price is much higher. Ultimately, a helmet that is a really good choice for anyone looking for a sport-touring helmet, with a double visor, good fit, nice design and sold at an affordable price.
