To the surprise of many people, Battlefield 2042, Electronic Arts’ controversial multiplayer shooter, is still alive and well. It recently received new content as part of Season 4, which debuted at the end of February. Among the novelties, fans found a very interesting easter egg.
Although DICE is recognized worldwide for being the studio in charge of EA’s war franchise, it also has the 2 installments of Mirror’s Edge, the science fiction and parkour series, on its resume.

It seems that the company’s developers are not forgetting the franchise starring Faith Connors, as they recently paid tribute to her in Battlefield 2042. Specifically, there is a great easter egg on one of the unpublished maps that debuted in Season 4 of the multiplayer FPS.
Specifically, players can find Faith’s iconic red shoes on top of a crane in the new Flashpoint map. To get there, it is necessary to use a plane or any other flying vehicle. The youtuber DANNYonPC took the trouble to show in a video the exact location of the easter egg.
It’s certainly a wink fans will appreciate. Unfortunately, everything seems to indicate that Mirror’s Edge is in limbo with little chance of returning. In the middle of last year, DICE commented that it will put the franchise aside to focus fully on the future of Battlefield.
