“Don’t buy a diesel, it’s all breakdowns!” Rare is the owner of a diesel vehicle who has not heard that phrase a few times. And there is part of truth in it. The reality is that cars with diesel engines require more attention and more controlled general maintenance to prevent future problems from arising.
But this can also happen in gasoline cars. In fact, without going any further, gasoline have reported in recent years an increase in technical problems that were not seen so frequently before, which makes many start looking for ways to try to avoid possible problems.

Take advantage of the review to check the battery
The battery can suffer a lot since the optimal temperature for its correct operation is 25ºC. The ideal way to keep it in good condition is to leave the car parked in a garage or in the shade during summer days. On the other hand, it is also advisable not to make excessive use of the air conditioning and not to turn it on when raising the car so as not to strain the battery. It is better to wait until the car has started to turn on the air conditioning.
The useful life of a car battery is normally 3-5 years: for this to be the case, it is recommended to take advantage of the annual service of the car to check its condition and, if necessary, change it.
Check tire pressure at least once a month
In the same place, the tires occupy a worrying situation, since they are one of the key elements of the safety of a vehicle. The RACE remembers a basic trick to keep them in good condition: we must check blood pressure at least once a month.
We must also ensure that the depth of its drawing is not below 1.6 millimeters (the legal minimum), although the recommendation is that it does not go below two millimeters. It is also best to change tires when this happens and not rush this task.
