What does Kang have to do with the Infinity Stones? The screenwriter of Avengers 5 has revealed one of the great theories of Marvel Studios.
Avengers 5 has confirmed the theory of Kang and the Infinity Stones. In an interview with Backstory Magazine, The Kang Dynasty screenwriter Jeff Loveness discussed the Conqueror’s technology as a whole. As well as the way it ties into the grand narrative that exists within the MCU.
When asked about the scene in the Loki series, in which He Who Remains explains that his different variants exchanged technology, the Avengers 5 screenwriter stated that ties into a larger question of what the character’s technology actually is and how it makes him an existential threat. But where do the Infinity Stones fit in with Kang’s character?
The shadow left by Thanos is too long…
Jeff Loveness then confirmed the connection between Kang’s rings on his Chair of Time and other ring-like artifacts with “glyphs” on them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He alluded to Shang-Chi’s Ten Rings. And also Kamala Khan’s bracelet in Ms. Marvel. There were previous rumors that both artifacts would act as the Infinity Stones from the Multiverse Saga.. However, the Marvel Studios Vice President of Production and Development appeared to deny these claims. But it seems that Loveness is totally on board with the concept. Especially for Avengers 5.
Marvel Studios
One of the biggest criticisms from fans throughout Phase 4 was the fact that neither project seemed to be as connected or have the same sense of direction as the Infinity Saga. However, as Marvel Studios often does, it is likely that this was intentional, and it could all be leading up to a climactic moment of realization for fans that makes them see how everything is linked and leads back to Kang.. So it makes sense that they confirm the Infinity Stones theory in Avengers 5.
