The King of Fighters XV was one of the best fighting games of the past year. It seems that he is still very popular, as SNK launched a second season of downloadable content earlier this year with Shingo Yabuki, a character who returns after years of absence. Now another classic fighter will join the roster soon.
KOF XV will be updated and will receive Kim Kaphwan
Kim Kaphwan, a character who debuted in the Fatal Fury franchise and has been in every major installment of The King of Fighters, will be coming to the latest fighting title in spring 2023. While we don’t have a release date yet, we already know. we could see it in action thanks to an official trailer.
In case you don’t know, Kim is a Taekwondo expert with an impeccable sense of justice. He will arrive in the SNK game with the classic set of moves from him, but there are expected to be some surprises. Also, the official trailer confirmed that he will have 2 suits.

While it’s a mystery when this classic character will be available in The King of Fighters XV, the developer studio confirmed that fans will be able to play as him at EVO Japan 2023, a competitive event that opens on April 2.
Finally, SNK confirmed that the DJ Station section will receive a collection of 8 songs from the company’s retro titles such as King of Fighters R-1, KOF Maximum Impact, Neowave, KOF 98 Ultimate Match and KOF 2002 Unlimited Match. This free update will debut alongside Kim Kaphwan sometime this spring.
The King of Fighters XV Season 2 will continue throughout 2023. The other announced characters are Najd and Sylvie Paula Paula. In addition, SNK confirmed that the fighting title will receive crossplay.
