The team of Vivid Storm Interactive and the publisher Camlann Games are thrilled to announce their participation in the Direct Spring 2023 Showcase organized by The MIX! The teams will present Ascent of Ashesa new colony sim, currently in development, whose launch is scheduled for the latter part of 2023 on PC via Steam and GOG. Find the reveal trailer below. Set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian reality, Ascent of Ashes puts players in charge of a small group of survivors who will have to deal with marauders, aliens, soldiers and other threats in intense real-time strategic combat. Build a new home, keep the various factions at bay and survive at all costs. Protect the colony from these dangers in a hostile and unforgiving environment. Recruit new survivors, each with their own characteristics and motivations, navigate the various factions and work together to create a new home.
Camlann Games is an independent publisher from Boston, founded with the goal of publishing meaningful, entertaining and highly replayable games. Comprised of industry veterans, the team is always on the ball search for new studios with which to work on great ideas to create memorable experiences. Ascent of Ashes is a developed project from the creators of the “Combat Extended” mod for RimWorld’s with the aim of giving birth to a unique colony sim. Built entirely from scratch, Ascent of Ashes will offer to its players a unique and balanced experience, based on exploration and strategy. Commenting on the collaboration with Vivid Storm Interactive and the possibility of working on Ascent of Ashes, Camlann Games CEO and founder Slava Heretz he has declared:
