After a 2022 in which the financial results did not match, Vodafone has started the year with the intention of reversing that situation as soon as possible. And one of the ways to do that is to explore new revenue streams while offering your customers added value.
That is why the operator is testing a new space in the My Vodafone application from which users you can buy thousands of products. And be careful, we are not only talking about electronic devices. Its official launch is scheduled for before the summer.
Home, Health, Sports, Toys and more
It is clear that the sale of devices plays an important role for Vodafone. And the best proof of this is that, in addition to reinforcing its Vodafone Flex installment payment program, they have recently begun to offer the opportunity to purchase mobile phones without permanence.

Now, it has wanted to go one step further, becoming the first operator in Spain to launch a marketplace where its customers can purchase all kinds of products. In true Amazon style, come on. But, yes, only for the operator’s customers, both contract and prepaid individuals, as well as the self-employed and micro-enterprises.
This marketplace, which can be accessed from the My Vodafone app, will have new product categories such as Home, Security, Health, Urban mobility, Sports or even Toys. And he promises that more will come in the future.
In addition, Vodafone has promised to increase the variety of its catalog of electronic devices, which until now could be purchased at the operator’s online store. In total, there will be thousands of products from more than 100 sellers.
An important innovation in this space is that, according to Vodafone, it will be able to anticipate needs of customers, showing and recommending products in which they might be interested. Like Amazon does, come on.
To develop this online store, Vodafone has had the collaboration of Mirakl, a company specializing in Marketplace software, and Adyen, a global financial technology platform. The first pilot tests have already begun and the idea is to make it available to Vodafone customers before the summer.
