The Minister of Sport also spoke to “A sheep’s day” about Juve: “Penalized? I don’t make predictions”
The Minister of Sport Andrea Abodi, speaking today on Rai Radio1, guest of Un Giorno da Pecora, interviewed by Giorgio Lauro and Geppi Cucciari said he was “absolutely in favor of using Pnrr funds for the renovation of the Florence stadium”.
Juve

When asked about the possible new penalty that would be imposed on Juve, Abodi replied: “Does Juve risk new penalties? I’m not making predictions, everyone has their role, there are the ordinary judiciary and the sports judiciary, they will tell it like it is. What I would like is a system that has the ability to regenerate itself and take responsibility. Here there are very few individuals who have the right to cast the first stone”.
Russian and Belarusian athletes

The minister then also spoke of the IOC’s position on Russian and Belarusian athletes. “We have to think about it, the principle can be shared but there are issues that we cannot solve on our own. I would like and hope that from here to Paris this dramatic chapter for the planet will close, that this war will end. I don’t think the position of the IOC is that of the government, so much so that a month ago I signed a letter – explained Abodi again to Un Giorno da Pecora – together with all my European, American, Canadian, Japanese and Australian colleagues, who foresaw exactly that. We will have the opportunity to talk about it together to have a unified position. There are still too many athletes who belong to the military and police forces, and there are too many Ukrainian athletes busy with other “business”, unfortunately”.
