An animated Batman from the future movie entered development when Walter Hamada was still the president of DC Films
Many will remember the popular animated series from the 90s batman of the futurewhich showed an older Bruce Wayne while he was training Terry McGinnis to be the new Dark Knight in a Futuristic Gotham. Fans of this series received some great news when it was revealed from reports that a Batman movie from the future was in development. However, with all the troubles he’s had Warner Bros., the years passed and there was no new information about the project. Now, we might have new production details.
Will the animated project of the Dark Knight be cancelled?
speaking on the podcast The Hot Mic, Jeff Schneider mentioned that an animated movie batman of the future came into development when Walter Hamada he was still the president of DC Filmsthis would confirm the reports shared in 2019. Furthermore, Sneider says that the project was a kind of response from the studio to the success of Spider-Man: A New Universe.
For the time being, the film would remain in development under the DC Studios by James Gunn and Peter Safranbut Sneider also said that production could still be frozen or even canceled if it does not fit into the plans of the new DCU from Gunn. To clarify, no official announcement has been made regarding an animated Batman Beyond movie, and Sneider’s report has not been confirmed by DC Studios.
