That music is a pillar in series and movies is not a new concept. Recently, series like Stranger Things have shown how songs with decades of history can resurface and shine while accompanying their characters. The Last of Us has also resorted to music classics.

It is possible that some have been overlooked, but the musical selection of The Last of Us series sets the bar very high.
HBO Max has officially renewed The Last of Us for a second season that will continue Joel and Ellie’s adventure after the events of this first season and likely provide new opportunities to include iconic songs.
