Suara.com – The following is a list of countries that have officially qualified for the 2023 U-20 World Cup. Most recently, two teams from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have confirmed themselves to appear in the finals of this prestigious event.
The two contestants from CAF who officially got tickets to qualify for the 2023 U-20 World Cup are Nigeria and Senegal. Both of them obtained this certainty through the 2023 Africa U-20 Cups of Nations.
For information, Nigeria managed to ensure its participation in the 2023 U-20 World Cup after successfully qualifying for the semifinal phase of the Africa U-20 Cups of Nations 2023.
This was achieved after they succeeded in overthrowing Uganda in the quarter-finals, aka the last eight. Nigeria won the match with a narrow score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Senegal has also successfully followed in Nigeria’s footsteps. They successfully tackled Benin with a score of 1-0 to advance to the final four of the Africa U-20 Cups of Nations 2023.
In other words, there are still two tickets for the 2023 U-20 World Cup that will be contested by representatives of African countries.
This ticket will be determined through the matches between Congo vs Tunisia and Gamba vs South Sudan on Friday (3/3/2023).
The winning teams from the two matches will be certain to advance to the semifinal phase of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations as well as represent Africa at the 2023 U-20 World Cup.
With the emergence of Senegal and Nigeria, now the 2023 U-20 World Cup participants have got 18 contestants.

Apart from the two African countries, the remaining four slots for the 2023 U-20 World Cup will be contested by Asian countries through the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup which is currently taking place in Uzbekistan.
