James Gunn, the new CEO of the DCU, plans to make a Superman movie, and on social networks he answers a question about it
On November 1, 2022, James Gunn became the director of the DCU, whose role will be that of Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige. Without wasting time, you have already planned what will be the first stage of this franchise. Apparently he will divide it into chapters, and the first of them is titled Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.
Within this chapter, it has been confirmed that there will be a solo Superman movie, called Superman: Legacy. With respect to this film, a fan protested on Twitter about the change of Henry Cavil for another actorwhereas she was supposedly going to have a child and therefore it didn’t make sense that there would be a new face for the last son of Krypton.
James Gunn did not remain silent and spoke about it, clarifying that he had not said at no time that I will have a child. This does not mean that in the future we will not see Jon Kent, the new superman and son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, but for the moment it is clear that James Gunn, if he has foreseen his presence in the DCU, will not be in this movie, although the word Legacy (Legacy) itself suggest passing the torch to a new iron man or something similar.
I never said Clark is going to have a child.
