WASHINGTON, 03 FEB – US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to China has been postponed after the US Department of Defense detected the presence of a Chinese ‘spy balloon’ in the American skies. A senior US department official said this in a briefing with a small group of journalists. “At this moment, a visit to Beijing would not be constructive, but the secretary intends to travel to China at the first opportunity,” the official stressed.
