United States tennis players have reached the group stage of the Davis Cup. Captain Mardy Fish’s team also won the third match against Uzbekistan in Tashkent. Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram gave the US the third point with a doubles victory against Sergei Fomin and Sanjar Fayziev: 6-2 6-4.
Mackenzie McDonald and Tommy Paul had already given the US the first two points on Friday. McDonald won against Fomin in straight sets (6-4 6-1). Paul was too strong for Khumoun Sultanov in two sets (6-1 7-6 (6)).
