KIEV – A member of Parliament Ukraine taunts the Kremlin by mentioning the President Russia Vladimir Putin panicked after the President of the United States (US) Joe Biden visited Kiev.
Oleksandr Merezhko, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament who represents President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Servant of the People party, told Newsweek that Biden’s historic visit showed that winning Ukraine was the top priority for the White House.
“I believe that after this visit, Putin is panicking,” said Merezhko, who is also chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament.
“He understands that he has lost and that the US has great confidence in Ukraine and its victory,” he said, which was launched Tuesday (21/2/2023).

Other members of the Ukrainian Parliament are also very enthusiastic. Kira Rudik, leader of the liberal Golos party, wrote on Twitter: “Monday will go down in history…This is a strong signal of support for Ukraine and confidence in our victory.”
Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of the European Solidarity Party, agrees. “Biden’s visit to Kiev is a clear sign of strong support for Ukraine from the US,” the politician wrote on Twitter.
“This is a strong message that Ukraine will continue to fight for its independence and sovereignty, and will win in the end.”
Biden, as well as other Western leaders, marked the one-year anniversary of this week’s full-scale invasion of Russia with a public commitment to a Ukrainian victory and the approval of a new military aid package.
