The vineyards would attract birds, which pose a threat to air traffic at the nearby airport. However, on appeal, the court rejected that argument. And a compensation of tons comes into view for the Benteloërs. “It’s an incredible relief that we were right,” says Roelof Visscher. “We want to go to Bonaire now.”
