GENEVA, 07 FEB – Up to 23 million people could be affected by the violent earthquake that killed thousands in Turkey and Syria, the World Health Organization (WHO) said today. “The general maps of the event show that potentially 23 million people are exposed, including about five million vulnerable people,” WHO emergencies manager Adelheid Marschang told the executive committee of the United Nations health agency.
