WASHINGTON – Former United States (US) president Donald Trump blamed “warmongers and ‘America Last’ globalists” at the State Department for pushing Ukraine toward conflict.
Trump, who is running for president in 2024, has promised to rid Washington of “warmongers, fraud, and failure” if re-elected.
In a campaign video released on Tuesday, Trump warned, “World War III has never been closer than now.”
Trump blamed “all the ‘America Last’ warmongers and globalists at the Deep State, the Pentagon, the State Department and the national security industrial complex.”

The former president singled out Victoria Nuland, the US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, who he said was “obsessed with pushing Ukraine towards NATO.”
Trump said Nuland and “others like him” in the State Department supported the 2014 “uprising” in Ukraine that saw democratically elected former President Viktor Yanukovych replaced with pro-Western Petro Poroshenko, who then started a campaign of military repression against Donetsk citizens. and Luhansk.
Nuland met with rioters in Kiev in 2014, where he promised pro-Western politicians a billion-dollar loan guarantee program and military aid.
