Hetty van de Wouw finished third in the 500 meter time trial at the European Track Cycling Championships in Grenchen, Switzerland. The 24-year-old rider from Kaatsheuvel achieved a time of 33.554 seconds. Germany’s Emma Hinze took gold in 32.947. The French Taky Marie-Divine Kouamé, last year’s world champion, was second in 33.390.
Kyra Lamberink, the second Dutch in the final, was seventh: 34.200. Hinze was the defending champion.
