LIVERPOOL – A mother in England chose to remain silent as she raped by a home intruder. He did that so as not to wake up his young children.
This unusual case was revealed in a hearing at Liverpool Crown Court, Friday (3/2/2023).
During the trial it was revealed that the defendant, Petrus-Ionut Apostoae, broke into the victim’s house on 2 October 2022 when he had just held a party.
The defendant then suddenly appeared in the victim’s bedroom, attacked her, before finally forbidding the victim to call the police.

The accused, who is 25 years old, also stole a set of artwork and a hoodie from the victim – who cannot be named – and weeks later attempted to break in again but the house door was locked.
The accused has been sentenced to prison for more than 14 years.
On October 2, 2022, family and friends attended a party at the victim’s home. They then left the house around 18:00 in the afternoon.
The victim then put his children to bed between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The victim wasn’t sure if any of the guests would return later, so she kept watching television and chatting with friends on social media.
