PRIVATE VOCATIONAL – For residents of Karawang Regency who wish to extend their driving license (SIM), the Karawang Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) has opened a Mobile SIM service.
The Karawang Police Mobile SIM service on Thursday (16/2/2023) is in one place, namely Rengasdengklok and Telagasari.
As for the mobile SIM service time, it starts at 09.00 until it’s finished. This mobile SIM service is only for applications for SIM A and C extension which can be made before the expiration date.
Then when the validity period of the SIM expires, residents still have to make it at the Karawang Police Office.

The renewal fee is in accordance with Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue, which is IDR 80,000 for SIM A extension and IDR 75,000 for SIM C extension.
Then the conditions for extending a SIM A or C are a photocopy of a valid KTP, a photocopy of the old SIM and original SIM, proof of a health check.
This SIM extension service is based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ). Everyone who drives a vehicle on the highway must have a SIM according to the type of vehicle.
Provisions that apply to drivers who do not have a SIM are regulated in Article 281.
