Lenovo has presented at this Mobile World Congress 2023 a new ThinkPad Z13. It is the second generation of a laptop whose features are aimed at business users. That is to say, it is presented as a proposal that promises to be light, powerful and versatile.
Despite the sober design of the equipment, the Asian manufacturer has opted to offer a version with a cover made of organic materials that gives it a rather particular appearance. Let’s see, then, what the update of this professional laptop from Lenovo has to offer us.

Entrepreneurial spirit, with power and style
The ThinkPad Z range of computers has used AMD processors since its launch. True to this principle, Lenovo has just updated the ThinkPad Z13 with the latest chips from Intel’s rival. The laptop comes with mobile processors AMD Ryzen 7000 series with integrated graphics.
At the screen level we find a 13-inch OLED panel with WUXGA resolution capable of offering up to 400 nits of brightness. Thanks to its reduced frames, it makes the most of the available space to minimize the dimensions of the laptop and make it more manageable.
The keyboard is also designed to be present from edge to edge. Lenovo says it has backlit and is splash resistant. The touch panel, for its part, has haptic capabilities and the TrackPoint function is incorporated to navigate as if you had a mouse.
If we explore inside, we also find the possibility of configuring it with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, an advance compared to the previous generation that supported a maximum of 32 GB of RAM. As for storage, we can raise it up to 2 TB SSD.
In the wireless connectivity section, the new ThinkPad Z13 comes with WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1 and the possibility of having optional way with 4G LTE. If we talk about ports, there are two USB-C and a 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jack (Jack).
Just as the ThinkPad Z laptops have maintained their AMD spirit, they have also done so from another section, that of design. The brand, which had chosen to offer a version with a recycled vegan leather cover, now opts for linen fibers.
In other words, the outer part of the laptop lid is covered by this fiber that, according to Lenovo, has been manufactured “from 100% agricultural products collected by collecting fibers from the flax plant”. In the images we can see in more detail the aforementioned fibers.
For those who want a less distinctive and more classic look, the ThinkPad Z13 can also be purchased with the outer display lid made of partially recycled aluminum in Arctic Grey.
Price and availability of the new ThinkPad Z13
The new ThinkPad Z13 will be available in Spain from July 2023. Its starting price will be 1.649 euros.
