In the finals, six candidates compete for that coveted role of a lifetime. There are still three potential Dannys and three potential Sandys in the race at the start of the show. Victor, Tristan, Paul, Magtel, Dominique and Danique give everything to become the new musical star of the Netherlands.
The candidates all perform with a solo. Based on that, the audience at home can choose their favorite. The jury, consisting of Marlijn Weerdenburg, Jim Bakkum, Maurice Wijnen and Pia Douwes, also assesses the finalists, but the jury members do not have a deciding vote.
Halfway through the show, two dropouts are eliminated. These finalists will no longer be Danny and Sandy. It’s about Dominique and Paul. The other four must take the stage one more time to determine the winners. They sing two Grease classics: ‘Sandy’ and ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’.
Only two can be the winners. And that’s Tristan and Danique. They are overjoyed and close the show with ‘You’re The One That I Want’.
This week it is announced that finalist Tristan has been reported for assault. The police confirm this after reporting from Gossip Talk. You can see more about that in the video below.
