Microsoft has announced a new option for Xbox players that will allow them to share the benefits of their Game Pass Ultimate subscription service with up to five friends or family. The countries that will be able to access this option are Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa and Sweden, joining Colombia and Ireland, which already have access to the plan.
Game Pass Ultimate offers access to a library of over a hundred game titles on console and PC, and with this sharing option, plan members will be able to play simultaneously on multiple devices and enjoy the games together with their loved ones.
According to Microsoft, this new option has been created to offer players more options to discover and experience their favorite games in the company of family and friends. Additionally, this option provides a way to extend the shared gaming experience, allowing multiple people to benefit from a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
This new sharing option for Xbox’s Game Pass Ultimate subscription service will allow users in multiple countries to enjoy the library of games together with friends and family on different devices. Furthermore, this option is designed to enhance the shared gaming experience and give players more options to enjoy their favorite games.
What you should know about this plan:
– The people you share your membership with must live in the same country as you.
– When you join this plan, the remaining time of your membership will be converted to the new plan, based on the monetary value of the old membership. For example, a whole month of Ultimate will become 18 days of subscription to this plan. This way, you won’t lose any of the remaining value on your existing subscription. The conversion is final and users will need to wait for their new membership to expire before they can switch back to their old membership.
– Conversion is not available for members of invited groups. Before joining a group, a team member can cancel their existing subscription or wait for it to expire. If they don’t have a Microsoft account, invited friends and family will need to create a new Microsoft account and sign in to participate.
