3 well-known actors join the cast of The Umbrella Academy, the Netflix series based on the Gerard Way comic
The superhero series The Umbrella Academy is preparing to say goodbye with its fourth and final season on Netflix. The fiction created by Steve Blackman and based on the homonymous comic by Gerard Way has announced three new signings that will join the cast headed by Elliot Page, Tom Hopper and Emmy Raver-Lampman.
As reported by SuperHeroHype, the actors Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) y David Cross (Arrested Development) join the Hargreeves family in as yet unknown roles. All three are known for their work in hit comedies and are expected to bring a touch of humor to the series.
The Umbrella Academy Follow the adventures of brothers with extraordinary powers who were adopted by an eccentric millionaire to form a team of heroes. Following the death of his adoptive father, the brothers reunite to investigate the mystery surrounding his death and prevent the apocalypse.
The third season ended with a huge cliffhanger that left fans wanting more. The brothers traveled to the past to avoid the catastrophe caused by one of them, but upon returning to the present they discovered that they had altered history and that their father had created another academy with other gifted children.
The fourth season promises to solve the unknowns raised at the end and give a satisfactory closure to the history of the hargreeves. There is no official release date yet, but it is expected to arrive on Netflix at end of 2023 or beginning of 2024.
