Suara.com – Wahyu Iman Santoso as Head of the Panel of Judges at the South Jakarta District Court (PN) will decide on a life-death sentence for Ferdy Sambo. The sentencing hearing for Ferdy Sambo and his wife, Putri Candrawathi is scheduled for Monday (13/2/2023).
It is known that Ferdy Sambo is being demanded for life in prison because he is believed to have committed the premeditated murder of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.

Wahyu Iman Santoso was born on February 17, 1976 and is now 46 years old. He was appointed as CPNS in March 1999 with the last rank of Young Main Trustees.
Wahyu Iman Santoso has a long track record during his career in the legal world. He had held a series of positions in several district courts.
He served as a judge at the Tanjung Balai Karimun District Court, which operates under the work unit of the Pekanbaru High Court, Riau. In addition, he also served as judge/deputy chairman of the Pasarwajo District Court, Southeast Sulawesi.
Currently, Wahyu Iman Santoso has served as Deputy Chairperson of the South Jakarta District Court since March 9 2022. He replaced Lilik Prisbawono who was promoted to become Chairperson of the Class 1A District Court for Central Jakarta.
Before becoming the Deputy Chairperson of the South Jakarta District Court, he served as the Chairperson of the Denpasar District Court, Bali from 2021 to 2022. Wahyu Imam Santoso was also noted to have served as the Head of Class 1B Kediri District Court and the Head of Class 1A Batam District Court.

From a search of the LHKPN website, Wahyu Iman Santoso last reported assets on January 24, 2022 while still serving as Chair of the Denpasar District Court. From there it was revealed that he had assets of IDR 12,009,356,307 and debts of IDR 693,452,912.
In the trial for the premeditated murder of Brigadier J, Wahyu Iman Santoso was in charge of presiding over the trial as Chair of the Panel of Judges. He has been the chief judge in the Ferdy Sambo cs case since October 17 2022.
The Actions of Imam Wahyu Santoso
Wahyu Iman Santoso’s actions included settling the pretrial lawsuit case against Mimika Regent Etinus Omaleng in July 2022. At that time, the KPK brought 106 experts along with all the evidence to reject Eltinus’ pretrial.
Mimika Regent Etinus Omaleng was caught up in a case of alleged corruption over the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church. Under the leadership of Imam Wahyu Santoso, the trial case was successfully won by the KPK.
The figure of Wahyu Iman Santoso also handled the corruption case of the Pasuruan Regent Dade Angga in 2010. The Pasuruan Regent was suspected of corruption in regional treasury funds of Rp. 10 billion.
Sambo cs demands before the verdict
On Tuesday (17/1/2023), the public prosecutor (JPU) read out the charges against Ferdy Sambo. Prosecutors demand that Ferdy Sambo be sentenced to life in prison because he is believed to have premeditated the murder of Yosua and tampered with electronic evidence related to Yosua’s murder.
The prosecutor considered that there was no excuse or justification for Sambo’s actions. The former Kadiv Propam Polri must be held accountable for his actions.
It is known, life imprisonment means a convict is in prison until he dies. In the prosecutor’s indictment, Sambo carried out the premeditated murder together with his wife Putri Candrawathi and the driver of the Strong Maruf family.
The prosecutor also said that Sambo’s former adjutants, namely Bripka RR or Ricky Rizal and Bharada E or Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu, were also involved in the premeditated murder.
The charges against the four defendants have also been read out by the prosecutor. Putri, Ricky and Strong were demanded 8 years in prison while Richard was demanded 12 years in prison.
