The residents of Overijssel consider these to be the most important themes for the elections

The fact that provincial politics is not mediagenic is also strongly apparent from the research. Because who is the man in the picture below? Only one in four inhabitants of Overijssel has an answer to that question. The name of the King’s Commissioner (we are not giving it away right away), active since the summer of 2018, is completely unknown to many. While in Drenthe, for example, seven out of ten inhabitants can immediately name Jetta Klijnsma. Nevertheless, it is already an improvement for the Commissioner: in 2021 only nine percent of the inhabitants knew his name, according to research by the University of Twente.
