Redfall it’s the next big Xbox exclusive release, and also the second Bethesda game to come out exclusively on Xbox after its acquisition (the first being Hi-Fi Rush, a surprise release last month).
Redfall promises to be the biggest game ever made by Arkane Austin, creators of Prey and Dishonored, with an open world full of things to do, and focused on cooperative multiplayer.
So much so that You will always need to be connected to the Internet., even if you play alone. But the thing does not end there: as we deduce from its website, the physical editions will not have a disc, but a download code.

Redfall, with Xbox Play Anywhere codes on PC
Pay attention to what it says on the Bethesda support website. One of the questions is “What codes are included in the physical versions of Redfall?”, and they explain the following.
“The code contained in the physical PC copies of Redfall are Steam codes.”
“Physical Xbox copies of Redfall are Xbox Play Anywhere codes that can be played on both Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Xbox app on PC.”
Neither in the answer, nor in the FAQ, do they talk about discs: it seems that with physical versions they understand download codes. If you buy at any Redfall store in physical format, for Xbox Series X, it will instead come with a code, which you can redeem on an Xbox Series X or Series S, or in the Microsoft Xbox app on PC.
We will be attentive if Bethesda makes some clarification, because the measure is surprising, but it makes sense for a game that already requires an Internet connection to play it, even if it is possible to play the entire game in solo mode. And it won’t be light: on PC you need 100 GB of free storage…
