Moto Morini, with its X-CAPE ADV-R and the pilot Oriol Mena, recent winner of the Dakar 2023 in the T4 SSV category, will participate in the fourteenth edition of the Bassella Race, an increasingly popular race in Spain, on 10, 11 and 12 February 2023.
In the idyllic spaces of the Catalonia region, on the edge of the Rialp artificial lake, this event offers an evocative spectacle, also thanks to the multiple categories in the competition.
Spectators will be able to access the event for free and not only watch the races, but also enjoy the spirit of the off-road paddock.
Moto Morini will participate with the enduro champion Oriol Mena, in the so-called Trail/Fans category, reserved exclusively for trail and maxitrail bikes, with a route adapted from road-book navigation.
The bike that will accompany the rider will be the Moto Morini X-CAPE ADV-R, presented for the first time at EICMA 2022, the result of the studies and field experiences of the Moto Morini R&D department: a unique prototype with aggressive aesthetics.
Equipped with the same twin-cylinder engine of the production version, with a displacement of 649 cc and 60 hp of maximum power and accessories developed for extreme off-road use. The motorcycle adopts suspension with increased travel and even the saddle now develops on a single level, increasing off-road comfort.
The front suspension unique to this project, rMade by Marzocchi, and the Ohlins shock absorber created to measure, they are fully adjustable, the ABS can be deactivated and the windshield has been modified to improve the rider’s visibility in standing riding conditions, typical of off-road use. The exhaust system, completely in titanium, reduces weight by releasing all the power of the Moto Morini engine result of the recent partnership with SC Project.
