The Last of Us series is a runaway success. Even though the first season is still airing, HBO has already confirmed that there will be a Season 2. Neil Druckmann hinted that the next batch of episodes will adapt the second game, which means we’ll be seeing some of the franchise’s most controversial moments. Of course, the Ellie actress is excited to explore those events.
During her recent appearance on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bella Ramsey, the actress who plays Ellie in HBO’s ambitious production, talked about the second season and the moments she’d like to address.
Even though it’s impossible to know for sure if she’ll reprise her character, it seems the 19-year-old British actress is more than willing to return and explore the more complex story that The Last of Us: Part II presents in the sequel to The Last of Us: Part II. the live action series.

Bella Ramsey wants to see Ellie and Dina’s relationship in the second season of The Last of Us

During the interview, Bella Ramsey expressed her excitement about exploring the new side of her character. She hints that she wants to investigate Ellie’s feelings and her love relationship with Dina, a young woman who takes on special relevance in the plot of the 2020 post-apocalyptic video game.
“It’s up to Neil and Crag, and what they want to keep in the plot. But I’m really excited about Ellie and Dina’s story. I saw a clip of them together, from someone who did a fantastic montage. I don’t know how they do it, but it was an amazing edit that had gameplay bits and the love story between Ellie and Dina. So I’m excited to face that,” said Bella Ramsey.
In addition, the actress says that she is excited by the idea of investigating Joel and Ellie’s relationship, which becomes much more complete in the sequel. Of course, she reveals that she is nervous about one of the moments in the story.
“The violence that comes after is very exciting in a way, it will be great. I’m nervous because I know what happens in the second game, and it makes me nervous to be alone without Pedro (Pascal) for a while. It’s going to be really sad,” Ramsey said.
Either way, we’ll have to wait and see what Craig Mazin and Niel Druckmann’s plans are for the future of The Last of Us live-action series. More than one season may be needed to adapt the events of the second game.
