Shazam! The fury of the gods, the new movie of the DC Extended Universe with Zachary Levi interpreting again the popular superhero from the comics.
After hilariously developing his powers in the 2019 film, Shazam and company set out for a divine challenge in the next installment of the franchise.
The daughters of Atlas: Hespera (Helen Mirren), Kalypso (Lucy Liu) and Anthea (Rachel Zegler) accuse Zachary Levi’s character and his adoptive family of usurp the divine power that is rightfully theirs.
Little by little all the members of the family will fall until only Billy Batson will remain standing to face the trio of villains.

It is well known to all that right now the DC Universe is right now in the midst of changes, with James Gunn and Peter Safran completely restructuring this cinematic universe of Superheros.
That is why many fans hardly show interest in the next movie of Shazam, as they believe the character could be rewritten in the budding new cinematic universe.
While it’s unclear whether Zachary Levi’s character will be in future DC projects, David F. Sandberg, director of Shazam! The fury of the gods, yes he confirmed that the plot of the film will not interfere with the plans of James Gunn and Peter Safran for their new DC Universe.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Sandberg said that the film will not contain plots that directly conflict with the relaunch of the film franchise, adding that this is a plus for Shazam to continue to be present in future films.

“It definitely won’t if people aren’t going to see the movie. What I’ve been told is that there’s nothing in the Shazam movies that contradicts DC’s future plans. So there’s a chance for more Shazam and if that’s what you want, your best option is to go see the movie,” said the filmmaker.
