A new round of voting for scenarios DLC from Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is open. In it, fans can discuss the DLC content of the game, as well as influence the direction the story can take. On some occasions, this type of decision leads to the acceptance of some ideas, but to the rejection of others…
Thanks to an interview with the creator of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Yoshitaka Murayama, we are revealed to some story ideas that the team has decided to abandon. The team did a really cool thing with the fans by giving the opportunity to contribute to this DLC through a round of scenario voting. Unfortunately, these ideas were not included in the last vote and were discarded.
It’s always a great opportunity for game directors to share this kind of information, as it helps us learn more about development and certain creative processes.
We had another story idea that focused on the generals during a wartime event, but it was scrapped as the main characters would not be included in the game’s initial release. For the same reason, we also scrapped a story plan that revolved around Lian’s martial arts training, as there would have been a problem with the character’s casting. Maybe we’ll give Lian his own fighting game ha ha ha.
What do you think of this anecdote? Do you agree with Yoshitaka Murayama on the decision? We read you in the comments.
