What will happen to the future of these actors in the DC Universe? We are talking about the 6 stars that are going to be struck down by Warner Bros.
There are DC Universe actors who are going to be fired. Some of them have even already been. The future of the DCU is the order of the day thanks to the arrival of James Gunn. The director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has become the head of this shared universe. He has now laid out his plan on a grand scale with Warner Bros. Discovery and it looks like he’s going to take the studio to a new port. A port that does not have the vast majority of the legends that come from the so-called “SnyderVerse”.
These are the 6 actors of the DC Universe that are going to be struck down in the coming months!
Henry Cavill como Superman
Warner Bros. Discovery
The end of Henry Cavill as Superman has already been announced. In fact, we can highlight that he was the first to see the exit door of the DC Universe. James Gunn has plans to do a Man of Steel reboot which, at the moment, he is writing. The latest rumors say that he will also be the director of the titled Superman: Legacy. However, this has not been confirmed… yet.
Ben Affleck as Batman
Warner Bros. Discovery
The other departure that has been announced for years, even before the arrival of James Gunn at DC Universe, is the figure of Ben Affleck as Batman. The actor and the character have been at the center of controversy since the premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Despite being well liked by the masses, his personal situation took him away from the character and now he no longer wants to look back.
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the DC Universe
Warner Bros. Discovery
Gal Gadot’s future as Wonder Woman in the DC Universe is very much in jeopardy. The Israeli actress has probably been the greatest success of the extinct SnyderVerse. Unfortunately, the plans for Wonder Woman 3 have been replaced by Paradise Lost, a television series on HBO Max that will serve as a prequel to the Diana Prince saga. Rumor has it that James Gunn wants to trade Gal Gadot for a new Princess of Themyscira, and that she will be introduced at the end of Paradise Lost.
Jason Momoa como Aquaman
Warner Bros. Discovery
Everything points to that Jason Momoa will stop being Aquaman after the premiere of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The DC Comics sequel will be the last installment of this version, but not the end of Jason Momoa within the DCU. If the rumors are true, James Gunn wants to fulfill the dream of all the fans and the actor himself, and wants to give him the role of Lobo in the new shared universe. However, although he technically continues, he would be fired by Warner in the role of the King of Atlantis.
Ray Fisher como Cyborg
Warner Bros. Discovery
It was one foot more out than in long before the arrival of James Gunn. Ray Fisher’s continuation as Cyborg is practically ruled out. The actor has always been on the “Snyder side” of the studio and has been very critical of Warner for what happened during the time of Joss Whedon, Walter Hamada, Geoff Johns and company. The harshness with which he has attacked both the past directive and James Gunn himself through social networks have marked him for life within the DC Universe.
Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe
Warner Bros. Discovery
And finally, almost we can fire Ezra Miller as The Flash. His movie will hit theaters next summer and promises to be the last episode of the so-called DC Extended Universe or SnyderVerse. After this premiere, and taking into account the social, emotional and judicial context of the actor, everything indicates that his days are numbered at Warner. Probably the best decision after what has happened.
