A 15-year-old boy has tried to take his own life after months of suffering bullying in San Carlos de la Rápita (Tarragona). “Bad people are applauded and sensitive and noble-hearted people have everything to lose,” said the minor in the handwritten letter that he left at his home before rushing out the window.
Their parents have made the case public to denounce this problem and that something like this does not happen again. The young man is in the ICU with broken arms and legs as well as some ribs and some vertebrae.
The boy left a farewell letter before jumping from a height of 14 meters and according to doctors he has been miraculously saved. The little one has already been able to speak with his parents and has apologized for what happened.
The parents want to explain this case to raise awareness of the suffering suffered by those who are victims of bullying. The Ministry of Education has opened an investigation to clarify the facts.

“My wife and we are having the worst day of our lives. Our fifteen-year-old son jumped from the 4th floor where we live. He has a degree of autism. He has miraculously survived a 14-meter fall. He has broken arms and legs, 2 ribs broken and two fractured vertebrae and has undergone several surgeries. The recovery will be hard but he wants to get well to start a new life and be able to tell his experience,” said the father.
The child has a degree of autism. The focus of his pain was his own school. They told him that he did not know how to move or relate well with the rest. He was alone and “in his logical mind he thought that he had no moments of happiness left,” says the mother.
The Department of Education of the Generalitat activated an internal investigation and a support unit, but it is unknown at what point in the process of bullying the minor.
