Tennis player Tim van Rijthoven is the first confirmed participant in the Rosmalen grass tournament. The 25-year-old Dutchman defends his title there, after winning the tournament against all odds last year. He defeated top players Felix Auger-Aliassime and Daniil Medvedev, among others.
Van Rijthoven says he is happy to return. “My life has changed here. I like playing tennis on grass and playing in the Netherlands.” Van Rijthoven is the current number 107 in the world.
For the organization of the Libéma Open it was certain that the defending champion had to return. “Who else but Tim van Rijthoven deserves to be announced as the first player for Libéma Open 2023?”, says the organization of the tournament on the grass of the Autotron near Den Bosch. This year’s edition is from 10 to 18 June.
