ROME, FEBRUARY 15 – The new scrapping of tax bills “may be a good last time”. The director of the Revenue Agency Ernesto Maria Ruffini said it, specifying that “the scrapping is certainly an extraordinary intervention wanted by the legislator”. “On this last occasion – he said answering the question whether the scrapping does not risk being harmful to long-term collection – the good thing is that it is an intervention that is made in the first year of the legislature when at the same time the majority of the parliament and the government intend to tackle the tax reform and then if the reform is paralleled and therefore it is said we will clean up and at the same time change the rules of the game, it could be a good last time”.
