Selebtek.suara.com – Still remember the song ‘You Choose Me’ which was sung by Syahrini after breaking up with Anang Hermansyah. This song had become a hit and entered the top download category in mid-2011.
The hit song sung by Reino Barack’s wife was said to be a satire for Anang Hermansyah, Syahrini’s duet partner at that time before the two broke up.
Investigate a calibaration, the song is the work of singer Ressa Herlambang. However, there is a sad story behind the hits by Syahrini. Rumor has it that Syahrini has not fulfilled his obligation to pay royalties for the song to Ressa Herlambang. Really?
Through a podcast titled All You Can Hear which was uploaded on Ferdy ELEMENT’s YouTube channel, Ressa revealed surprising facts about Syahrini and the hit song.

“That (the song) exploded,” said Ferdy when Ressa sang a piece of the Syahrini song he had composed. “Do you have a lot of money already?” asked Ferdy in his podcast, which was re-uploaded from the Instagram account @lambe__danu, quoted on Monday (6/2).
“Not yet,” Ressa said, shaking her head.
Ferdy was also surprised, especially when he heard Ressa admit that she only received royalties from the success of the song.
“At that time it was top download, you know, RBT,” said the vocalist of the band ELEMENT.
“Yes… not as spectacular as (expected). I don’t know, because I don’t understand, I accept (paid), but…,” said Ressa.

Ferdy was even more curious and tried to find out information about the hit song You Choose Me, which was performed by Syahrini. And again Ressa’s confession surprised Ferdy again.
“At that time he was paid Rp. 5 million,” said Ressa.
“Rp 5 million is usually just like a down payment, money up front, because you take the money from royalties. Now the royalties are big,” said Ferdy.
“How big do you know that?” asked Ressa back.
“Yes, the top download is certain, then YouTube. Your own song, right? Yes, it’s like MM (billion),” said Ferdy.
“Nope. Not hundreds of millions (hundreds of millions),” Ressa replied.
Ressa revealed that at that time she did not really understand the details of the distribution of royalties for a song. Ressa was reluctant to ask and take care of Syahrini’s management, even though that was actually her right as a songwriter.
That is what made Ferdy encourage Ressa to manage all of his intellectual property through this work.
“You have a lot of money outside of what you actually have to collect, that’s your right actually,” said Ferdy.
