Suara.com – The General Chairperson of the Nasdem Party Surya Paloh had a reunion with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, on Friday (3/2/2022).
This meeting is the second time held in the near future, after the two met in Europe at the end of the year. The meeting was discovered through Peter Gontha’s Instagram account, which uploaded a photo of Paloh and Luhut together.
In the photo caption, it is known that the two of them met for lunch at the Kayangan Restaurant, Shabu Shabu Wisma Nusantara, Jakarta, on Friday (3/2) at 11.30.
Meanwhile, responding to the meeting, Chairman of the DPP NasDem Party, Sugeng Suparwoto, confirmed.

“What I heard was that they were invited to have lunch together,” said Sugeng at the NasDem Tower, quoted on Saturday (4/2/2023).
Meanwhile, regarding what was discussed between Paloh and Luhut, Sugeng said he did not know. It’s just that the NasDem doesn’t matter if the meeting between the two is then given the impression that it’s related to politics.
“That it can be interpreted politically and so on is fine. But I was not with him,” said Sugeng.
Meet in Europe
NasDem emphasized that there was no connection between Surya Paloh and Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan’s meeting in London, England and Paloh’s move to gather members of the NasDem Fraction of the Indonesian Parliament to the NasDem Tower on Monday (16/1).

The head of the DPP NasDem Willy Aditya said that it was only based on congruence if someone connected the two meetings.
“Yes, that fits the name. That’s something that’s far from the fire,” said Willy when contacted, Tuesday (17/1/2023).
Willy said the meeting between the NasDem Chairman and Luhut in London had been going on for a long time last year, December 13 to be precise. Meanwhile, Paloh’s meeting with the NasDem faction only took place this week.
“Mr. Surya, by chance, met Mr. Luhut in London and then as friends, just old friends who happened to be together in London. Yes, when friends meet, they don’t invite coffee,” said Willy.
“Have coffee, bro, have coffee, bro. Eh, if you have tea in London, let’s have tea, bro, let’s have tea,” Willy continued.
Meanwhile the meeting of Paloh and the NasDem Fraction was in the context of ensuring the political lines of the NasDem. One of these assertions is related to the attitude of NasDem which continues to support the government of Jokowi and Maruf Amin until the end of their term of office.
“Now in the process of building a political line that is in line with the party’s policies, every member of this faction is the NasDem elite, all of whom gather, don’t do things that are outside of the party’s policies,” said Willy.
