No one could keep up with the Ducati champion
At Phillip Island, Australia, Bautista got everyone in line. After winning race-1 in the wet and the Superpole Race, the reigning World Champion achieved a hat-trick, also taking home race-2. A 3-0 that says a lot about the superiority of the phenomenon in Ducati.
In race-2, Bautista dominated from the start, confirming that he is one step ahead of all his direct rivals. Not encouraging answers from Rea and Razgatlioglu, on paper the two most direct opponents for the SBK title. In race-2, the Italians Rinaldi and Locatelli completed the podium. The latter is the only non-Ducati rider in the top five of race-2 (also the ninth final position of Petrucci, in his first Superbike GP, should be recorded).
