Attacker Vicente Besuijen returns to Excelsior in the Eredivisie. The Rotterdam club has rented the 21-year-old winger from Aberdeen for six months, with an option to buy. The born Colombian played in the youth for Ajax, FC Volendam and AS Roma and broke through in the Eredivisie at ADO Den Haag.
“With Vicente we bring in a boy with explosiveness and creativity, and someone who knows the Dutch competition well,” said Excelsior technical manager Niels van Duinen. “With his specific qualities, Vicente is an absolute added value for us on the way to maintenance in the Eredivisie.”
In the Scottish league, Besuijen scored three goals in eighteen games for Aberdeen this season. Excelsior also strengthened itself on the final day of the transfer period with the French fullback Arthur Zagre.
