TOKYO, 28 FEB – The Tokyo Stock Exchange starts trading with a plus sign, in the wake of the recovery of US stock indices after the worst week since the beginning of the year. At the opening, the Nikkei advanced by 0.34% to 27,516.86, adding 92 points. The expectations of further monetary tightening by the Federal Reserve, and the widening of the interest rate differential between the USA and Japan, affect the performance of the yen, at its lowest against the dollar in two months, at a value of 136.20, and on the euro at 144.50.
