The modern Starsky & Hutch is supposed to be about two female cops: Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson. They solve crimes together, all the while trying to unravel the mystery of who put their fathers in prison 15 years earlier for a crime they didn’t commit.
The original series ran from 1975 to 1979 and followed David Starsky and Kenneth Hutchinson, played by Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul. The two cops raced around solving crimes in a red Ford Gran Torino, which became iconic for the series. A cinema version of the TV series followed in 2004. The lead roles were played by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
